The APJ rocket achieved an apogee of 10,000 feet at the Spaceport America Cup 2018, securing 89th place globally in the COTS category.


Built entirely from scratch, it showcased outstanding innovation and performance, inspiring future amateur rocketry advancements.

APJ II


APJ II, designed for the Spaceport America Cup 2019, featured key enhancements like a superior telemetry system and upgraded GPS modules.


Overcoming recovery challenges, it achieved 99% flight accuracy, securing 29th place globally and 1st in the Asia-Pacific region, showcasing the team’s technical growth and resilience.

In 2021, the team participated in the Latin American Space Challenge (LASC) in São Paulo, Brazil, with "The Perfect Game." Competing in the 0.5 km height target category, the rocket secured 2nd place in India and 6th overall.


The competition marked our first appearance with a team of new recruits after the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating our adaptability and continued passion for rocketry.

In the 2022 Latin American Space Challenge, our rocket "Midnight Sun" competed in the 1 km solid motor category against teams from nine countries. It was our debut with an SRAD rocket.


Developed entirely in-house with a custom-built solid motor, it secured 3rd in category and 8th worldwide, proving our capabilities in independent propulsion design.

In the 2023 Latin American Space Challenge, our rocket STELLAR EYE secured 1st in Asia, 4th in Target Category, and 10th Globally. Powered by our custom SRM, Lakshya, and supported by the in-house developed “Endeavour” for flight data.


It showcased our advancements in rocketry. Additionally, Project LEVI advanced research on the Doppler effect with an acoustic levitator.

The Vikrant rocket, which is yet to launch, is designed to reach an apogee of 1 kilometer. Powered by a liquid engine, it brings a sophisticated propulsion approach to this year’s LASC competition.


With its cutting-edge engineering, Vikrant is expected to make a notable impact in the realm of amateur rocketry upon its inaugural flight.

Project Vikrant represents India's first student-designed, manufactured, and hot-fired liquid propellant rocket engine, ranking STES Rocketry 2nd in the entire world in student liquid propulsion.

Midnight Sun — 3rd in the World in Solid Rocketry
